Stoumann’s Wines has grown since 1998, from the smallest cellar in the West Coast Wine Route, to the cellar, which in 2009, pressed 960 tons, of which 90% was white and 10% was red grapes. Erik Schlünz joined the cellar in 2007 as Manager/Winemaker.

Most of our wines are sold in bulk to international countries. The following wines are available at the kelder and restaurants in the Western Cape:
Red - Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Vin de la Torte
White - Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc
Fortified - Red Muskadel, White Muskadel, Hanepoot

Our red wines are stored in small wooden barrels for one year before bottling.

Stoumann’s Wines still has a passion for protecting the prehistoric endangered geometric tortoise, found in our area of the West Coast.
